"HardKohr Sports & Fitness Center is an evolving all sports training facility. Under the new ownership of Jim Kohr, the former Yorktowne Racquet & Fitness Center is undergoing many changes. Jim, has not only updated the decor of the common areas, expanded the nursery and created a new teen room with a WII system, pool table & ping pong table, but has brought in all new state of the art exercise equipment and has changed the lighting on the tennis courts to better light the courts and be able to accommodate other sports training. Along with the Body Training System Classes (Step, Power, Cynergy, Kick, Ride, Groove and Active), Jim and his staff have added several non-BTS programs; these include Zumba (a Latin based dance aerobic class), HardKohr Boot Camp, HardKohr Cycling, HardKohr Butts & Guts (actually a ½ hour ALL body toning class) and several combo classes. There is truly a Group Fitness class for all, no matter your fitness level."

"One thing about the club that has not changed is the comradie the members have with one another. The tennis players, racquetball players and exercisers all interact and socialize together. Members come in early and stay late to share a cup of coffee (Starbucks no less and complimentary). True friendships develop here so that not only do you nurture your physical health but your mental health too!"

“I’m in my 40’s and have been a member for 4 ½ years. Since I joined, I’ve toned up, developed muscles I didn’t even know I had, and I’m in better shape than I have ever been! I worked out at home for several years and did “OK” and belonged to another gym for a year but never went. What’s the difference at HardKohr? From the first day I came into the gym on a free day pass, I felt comfortable and welcomed! The staff is friendly and so are the other members! I didn’t feel awkward or out of place or intimidated. I felt like I could just come in and work out with no judgments! The Group Fitness classes are AWESOME (my favorite). There is a LARGE selection of different kinds of classes so I can switch up what I want to do that day and lots of different times to take a class each week. The instructors make you feel excited to be there. They know the routines well and lead you through each track of a class so you can really follow along! And they offer lots of variations on moves, so there’s no need for different levels of classes here, whether you are just starting out or have been taking a class for awhile you can participate in every class and get a great workout! I’m so glad I came in that first day and tried HardKohr out! Now I can’t imagine my life without my workout routine and I know I’ll have a longer and healthier life because of it!!”

"In the past 7 years that I’ve attended the gym, I’ve gone through various stages of life. From being single & carefree, to engaged & then married, to pregnant & then Mommy, and now back to 9 months pregnant again…I’ve always been able to find what I need for that specific time at this gym. Right now, Groove & Zumba are the best classes for me because they are a little less intense. Once I have the baby, I hope to get back into pre-pregnancy shape by resuming some of the other classes, along with the ones I already take. I really enjoy Group Fitness. It gives me a chance to relieve a little stress and get a great workout at the same time. These classes are for any person, of any age, in any stage of life."
